THE SHORT VERSION

StickerBridge processes captures on your Android device. It has no account system, advertising SDK, analytics SDK or capture-upload backend. You choose when to capture and when to export a pack.

1. Who we are

StickerBridge is an Android sticker-making application developed by Mugisha Clinton. This policy covers the application with release package identifier com.sticker_bridge.app, this product website, and support or privacy requests sent to us.

For questions or requests, contact mugishaclinton412@gmail.com.

2. Screen capture and local processing

You start a capture session and approve Android’s screen-sharing prompt. Depending on your Android version and choice, this may share one application or the entire display. Screen content can include personal or sensitive information shown in the shared area.

While your authorized session is active, Android’s MediaProjection service makes frames of the shared content available to StickerBridge in memory. The app uses those frames to let you select an area and capture it. It accesses the shared frames, including areas outside your crop, during this process; only the selected region is written as the capture.

Still captures are processed into images. Animated captures record the selected region as a temporary, silent video and convert it locally into animated WebP. Auto mode compares movement in the selected area to suggest still or animated output. No microphone audio is recorded.

Capture and conversion do not send your screen, images, video or sticker content to the developer or a remote processing service. StickerBridge does not bypass Android’s protected-content restrictions. Avoid capturing content you do not want stored or shared.

The app shows an overlay bubble and a session notification with a Stop action. You can stop an active session. After a capture finishes, screen sharing ends and the app returns to local conversion and preview. Android may also end screen sharing when you stop it through system controls.

3. Information stored on your device

StickerBridge stores saved sticker images, animated WebP files and collection records in its private Android application storage. Records may include collection names, publisher names, local identifiers, creation dates, sticker format, dimensions, file size and animation duration.

The app also stores your last selection area, capture mode and chosen duration locally to make your next capture easier. Android screen-sharing permission tokens are not saved for reuse in future sessions.

Temporary files include conversion video, preview images and unsaved sticker drafts. The app removes conversion video after conversion, cancellation or failure. Drafts are removed when discarded or replaced, and stale capture-cache files are cleared when the app starts. Android can also clear cache files.

The application does not require an account or social-media login. It does not request contacts, location, camera access or microphone access. It does not include Firebase, advertising, billing, analytics or an automatic crash-report upload service in the version described here. Any future feature that changes data handling will require an updated disclosure.

4. WhatsApp export and sharing

Export happens when you choose to add a collection to WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business. StickerBridge prepares compatible sticker packs and makes the exported sticker images, tray image and pack metadata available through an Android content provider protected by the WhatsApp sticker read permission. Apps granted that permission may access the exported assets.

Exported metadata can include your collection and publisher names, pack identifiers, sticker filenames, associated emoji and whether a pack is animated. Raw capture files remain in the app’s private storage. StickerBridge checks locally whether supported WhatsApp applications are available so it can offer an export destination.

Once imported or sent, copies are handled by WhatsApp, recipients and their devices under their own policies and controls. Deleting content in StickerBridge does not remove copies already imported into another app, shared in messages or saved by recipients. Review your stickers before exporting them and use content you are entitled to share.

StickerBridge does not sell your capture content or use it for advertising. There is no automatic developer collection of your sticker library.

5. Android permissions

  • Screen-sharing consent: Android asks you to approve access to an application or display for a capture session.
  • Display over other apps: allows the capture bubble, selection rectangle and capture controls to appear while you browse.
  • Foreground services and notifications: support visible screen capture and local conversion, with progress and Stop or Cancel controls. Android notification permission is requested where required.

The app’s capture functionality needs screen-sharing consent and overlay access. If you deny them, capture cannot start; you can still use available local collection features. You can change overlay and notification permissions in Android settings.

6. Retention, deletion and security

Saved collection records and their source files stay on your device until you delete the stickers or collection, clear application storage, or uninstall the app. Removing a collection also removes its prepared export assets. Previously prepared exports may remain until they are refreshed or the collection is removed; copies in WhatsApp are controlled separately.

Use Android’s app settings to clear StickerBridge storage if you want to remove all of its local records, settings, drafts and exported files. Uninstalling removes the app’s local private storage. There is no StickerBridge account or cloud library to delete.

The app uses Android’s application sandbox and private files. Application backup is disabled in its configuration, including configured cloud backup and device transfer exclusions. Device-level protections and behavior also depend on your Android version and manufacturer. No storage or operating system can offer an absolute security guarantee.

7. This website and support email

This website uses locally hosted fonts and assets. It has no analytics scripts, advertising trackers, tracking cookies, account registration or data-collection forms. Your browser still makes normal requests to the website host.

When deployed on Netlify, the hosting provider may process technical request information, such as your IP address, browser information, requested URL and request time, to deliver and protect the website. This is separate from the Android app’s local capture processing. See Netlify’s privacy policy (opens in a new tab) for the host’s handling of that information.

If you email us, we receive the email address, message and any information or attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond, investigate your request and provide support. Our email provider processes those messages as part of email delivery and storage. Do not send screen captures or sensitive information unless needed for your request.

Support correspondence is kept only as long as needed to address the request, follow up and meet any applicable legal obligations. You can ask us to delete correspondence that is no longer needed.

8. Your choices and privacy requests

You can decline screen sharing, stop an active capture, change Android permissions, discard a preview, delete local stickers or packs, and clear app storage. You control whether to export stickers to another application.

If you have questions or wish to request access, correction or deletion of information you sent to us by email, contact the address below. We may need enough information to identify your correspondence. Your local sticker library is on your device; the developer cannot remotely view or delete it.

We do not ask for your age and do not knowingly collect children’s personal information through an app account or capture-upload service. If a child has sent personal information to our support email, a parent or guardian can contact us to request its deletion.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as StickerBridge changes. The effective date on this page will identify the latest version. Material changes to data access or collection will be disclosed through appropriate app and listing updates before those changes take effect.
